Antivirus Updates

Steps for McAfee Antivirus users                          McAfee Antivirus site

1. Open McAfee VirusScan Central

2. Click on the Update button.  

3. Click on the Invoke browser button that will pop up in a message box

 Your computer will dialup to the internet and locate the McAfee website.  If this is your first time upgrading your anti-virus program, you will be prompted to fill out a registration form (you will only have to fill this out once).  Once the form is completed you will be taken to the McAfee download page.  

On this page McAfee will inform you whether or not you should update by listing your version and the current available version.  

4. If McAfee suggests you should update, click on Download current DAT file.

5. Save the file in a location where you can easily find it.

6. Once the download is complete, locate the file and open it.  Follow the instructions and the update will be installed on your computer.

Steps for Norton Antivirus users                            Norton Antivirus site.                    

1. Go to the  Norton Antivirus download site.

2. Choose the appropriate Operating System and Language and click on the Download updates button.

3.  Choose the appropriate exe file and click once to save it. (save it in a location where you can easily find it).

4. Once the download is complete, locate the file and open it.  Follow the instructions and the update will be installed on your computer.
